Hawaii ERS to Take Close Look at Intl Equity
The $8.8 billion Hawaii Employees’ Retirement System is gearing up to review its international equity portfolio. The plan will be assisted by Pension Consulting Alliance.
The review will be conducted over the next several months, according to a report in the Honolulu Star Bulletin. The report also notes that system is taking a closer look at international equity because it “outperformed its benchmark significantly in the past year and over the three- and five-year periods.”
Meanwhile, for the fiscal year that ended June 30, plan’s portfolio saw its assets dip by $2 billion, or by 18.7%.
