Evercore Partners Buys Into Asset Manager

Evercore Partners, an investment banking advisory firm, has gained a 45% non-controlling interest in ABS Investment Management.
 
ABS Investment Management is an institutionally focused equity long/short hedge fund-of-funds manager. The firm's founders and employees will continue to own 55% of the company, a statement issued by Evercore said.
 
Evercore is based in New York, with offices in Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Washington D.C., London, Aberdeen, Scotland, Mexico City and Monterrey, Mexico, Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Its investment management business offers wealth management, institutional asset management and private equity investing.
 
Meanwhile, ABS Investment Management clients are based in the Americas, Europe and Asia from its offices in Greenwich, Zurich and Hong Kong.
 
Evercore originally announced its purchase agreement on Nov. 14.
