Harris Hires for Institutional Government Group
Chicago-based Harris has added muscle to its institutional market government banking team with the additions of Mark Mitrovich and Katie Aeschliman to fill the VP and senior relations manager roles, respectively.
John Mattern, senior VP of institutional markets, leads the team, which focuses on serving large-scale government entities. In an Aug. 25 statement, the financial services firm said the duo “represents the next stage in Harris’ commitment to serving these clients.” Mitrovich will be based in Chicago, while Aeschliman will operate from Indianapolis.
Overall, the team focuses on larger government clients in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.
“Mark and Katie bring a wealth of experience, diverse backgrounds and true understanding of the needs of our clients,” said Mattern in the statement. “Their reputations in government circles, and their previous experience working on the client side of the business, will strengthen our market position.”
Greg Bins, senior VP of institutional markets added that by increasing the size of the banking team, Harris can now provide additional expertise and resources to its clients.
Mitrovich’s experience includes the last 10 years as Deputy City Treasurer for Chicago. Aeschliman was most recently with KeyBank, where she was VP and relationship manager for the public sector in Indiana.
Harris is a member of the BMO Financial Group.
