Herndon Capital Adds Client Services. Equity Expertise

Herndon Capital Management, an international large- and mid-cap equity manager, has made two additions to its team.

Antoinette Bing Scroggins has joined the Atlanta-based firm as VP of client services and will be responsible for “broadening and solidifying HCM’s relationships with its clients,” a statement issued by the asset manager said.

Scroggins, a Saint Joseph’s University alum, has more than a decade of industry experience. Most recently, she managed the institutional sales and trading desk at BOE Securities in Philadelphia, where she was head trader responsible for managing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and back office functions.

HCM has also hired Kenneth Jackson as a senior equity trader. Jackson, who has traded in both domestic and international markets, will be responsible for trading all of the firm’s equity products.

Jackson joins HCM from Qubit Investments where he was a principal. While at the Philadelphia-based firm he helped manage a start-up equity market neutral hedge fund. Previously, he spent 14 years at Delaware Investments as an equity analyst.

At the end of December 2011, HCM has roughly 175 clients and close to $5 billion in assets under management, the firm said in the announcement.
